We specialise in traditional lime plastering, offering a dedicated service for heritage and period properties across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. With extensive experience working on older and listed buildings from Oxford University, to The Randolph Hotel. we understand how important breathable, natural and relevant materials are to the long-term health of traditional structures. Our work focuses on using proven lime systems and time-served techniques to repair, restore, and protect original walls and ceilings. Every project is approached with care, attention to detail, and respect for the building’s character, delivering durable, high-quality finishes alongside a friendly, reliable service.

Our lime plastering methodologies and services as follows;

• Assessing properties to determine the cause and scope of damage 
• Proposing an in-depth, detailed solution to the problems the property is facing 
• Removing any failed, damaged or soiled lime plaster substates delicately and carefully, as not to cause any further disturbance to what is usually a very brittle structure 
• Identifying and remedying any sources of water ingress
• Apply new lathe 
• Applying appropriate primers 
• Applying lime plaster backing coats 
• Applying lime plaster top coats 

We have extensive experience providing high-quality gypsum & lime plastering for domestic properties, delivering smooth, durable finishes ready for decorating. This could be anything from a new build, an extension or a full renovation project. 

Our re-plastering services include; 

• Thorough surface preparation
• Bonding and Hardwall to repair damaged to existing plaster or masonry substrates
• Float & set 
• Plasterboarding - dot & dab, tacking, over-boarding ceilings
• Priming with PVA, SBR+, BlueGrit, DG47, Easybond etc.
• Full re-skim with gypsum or lime plaster

We have extensive experience and are incredibly well versed in skimming over Artex. With over 700 Artex ceilings prepped and re-skimmed (freshly plastered) in the past 12 years, we have had plenty of time to hone our skills in order to achieve a flat, smooth and blemish free finish. Our Artex solutions are as follows; 

• Identify Artex substrates 
• Use years of skill to pre-determine the likelihood of whether asbestos is present (please note - the presence of asbestos in Artex is very, very unlikely)
• If over-skimming (plastering over Artex), we use a large blade to remove the peaks of the stipples, forming a flatter substrate onto which 2, sometimes 3 coats of gypsum plaster can be applied 
• Prepare flattened Artex with appropriate primers 
• Apply fresh gypsum plaster, leaving a smooth, flat, blemish free finish

A large portion of our plastering scope is contract work to building contractors, universities, housing develops and local councils. We offer all manner of plastering works to the commercial sector, with historic and current contracts in place with myriad contractors. All of our plastering methodologies, be that insulating, boarding, backing coats, finish coats, lime plaster, gypsum plaster - all plastering requirements are available to the commercial sector under a pre-determined price. We have the experience, equipment and man power to undertake any size of job in the commercial sector.
